Call for participation:
For the art project "Le Madison" we are looking for participants of every age.
Simply learn the Madison Dance Steps from the movie Band of Outsiders in 3 weeks (via Internet), register and dance the group dance in a video shooting!
Every registered participant will get a voucher for 2 free drinks!
The dance event of "Le Madison" will take place on Wednesday July 1, 2009 from 8 - 10 pm at the exhibition space W139 (Warmoesstraat 139, Amsterdam) -> [ site map ]
This group dance scene will be staged with as many participants as possible:
Participate(*) or join the dance event & video shooting
as a member of the audience!
(*) You don't have to be a professional dancer! ...;)

"Le Madison" is the famous dance number from the movie Band of Outsiders (French, Bande à part, 1964) by Jean-Luc Godard.
In this scene, the main actors Odile, Franz and Arthur dance in a Parisian café the so-called "Madison" — a line dance — that has to be performed by a group.

3 STEPS FOR PARTICIATION:
(1) Learn the Madison Dance Steps in 3 online lessons. (release dates: 10./17./24. Juni 2009)
(2) Register for participation UNTIL June 28 [ here ]. After doing so you will receive a confirmation email with further information on the procedure. Registered participants will get 2 "FREE DRINK CARDS" to use during this W139 event.
(3) We will come together on July 1, 2009 at W139 to dance this Madison/dance in a group!
This group dance will be tape-recorded.
